The final engine choice is a powerful supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. This engine is standard on the RAM 1500 TRX. While it is loaded with horsepower and torque, it is a sport-tuned engine not designed for towing.

The other powerful configuration includes the 3.0-liter Ecodiesel V6 Turbo Diesel. When paired with the Quad Cab and the 6’4” bed, the RAM 1500 can tow up to 12,560 pounds. The RAM 1500 with the V6 engine can tow between 6,490 and 7,550 pounds. The V8 HEMI can tow between 8,490 and 12,750 depending on the driveline and configuration.
