Our Top Five Jeep Maintenance Tips to Prepare for Fall
Here are our top five tips to prepare for Fall:
Belts and Hoses – Summer heat can leave your Jeep’s belts and hoses brittle and worn out. Ensure that your Jeep is ready for the Fall by inspecting your belts and hoses before the cold months come. If your belts and hoses are worn out, or it’s been more than four years since your last change, allow our service experts to get your car in shape this Fall!
Tires – Fall can bring cold nights, wet mornings, and unexpected storms. Ensure that you have the grip you need this fall by checking your tire’s tread depth. If your tires are below 10/32”, it can compromise your vehicle’s handling, its grip, and its overall safety on the road.
You can even check your tread depth with a penny! Simply stick a penny in the grooves of your tire to get a reading of whether or not your tires are safe. If you can see Lincoln’s head, your tread depth is considered “too low” and we recommend tire replacement.
Check Battery – Cold weather is not only stressful on your battery, but cold weather can require more power from your battery to start your engine. If it’s been a few years since your last battery change, have a battery test performed on your vehicle to make sure you won’t have any interruptions this fall.
Check Your Fluids – Check your car’s fluid levels to make sure that all of its mechanical components have the lubrication and fluid they need to work properly. This includes everything from your engine oil and your brake fluid, to your windshield washer and power steering fluid.
Windshield Wipers – Summer heat can dry out your windshield wipers, leaving you squinting when the first rain of the season comes. If it’s been more than 12 months since your last windshield wiper change, allow our experts to install a new set so you can see clearly this Fall!
