It Doesn’t Get Better Than This

They say no good deed goes unpunished but purchasing a 2020 RAM Heavy Duty truck is not just a good deed (for yourself), but one that’ll win you praise, not punishment. The hardest part for you will be deciding between the 19,680-pound towing capacity of the 2020 RAM 2500 and the 35,100-pound towing capacity of the 2020 RAM 3500.

It’s certainly easy to assume you should opt for the RAM with the highest towing capacity, but your needs may vary. Both vehicles have available diesel-fired Cummins® Turbo engines and gas-fired Hemi® V8 engine options. You’ll also find a solidly-built 8-speed transmission and rear-wheel and four-wheel drive options.

Additionally, all 2020 RAM trucks for sale are built tough to withstand the weight of their heavy loads, with additional features designed to withstand extra shock on rough terrain.

The RAM 3500 offers some notable differences. These include an additional diesel engine option, and available dual rear wheels to help bring added stability and control to the more extensive towing capacity that the RAM 3500 offers.

Engine Options

Gas or Diesel? You Pick

Your choice between the 2020 RAM 2500 Power Wagon and the RAM 3500 may come down to the engine options.

If you’re more comfortable with

a gas-powered vehicle, you can purchase either vehicle with RAM’s 6.4L Hemi® V8 engine. This lower-cost V8 engine option provides 410 horsepower and a towing capacity of up to 15,040 pounds.

RAM makes its 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 engine available for both the 2500 and 3500 models. A max horsepower of 370 and 850 lb-ft of torque help boost it to a max towing capacity of up to 19,680 pounds.

For those with the regular heavy-duty needs, the 2020 RAM 3500 can be paired with a 6.7L Cummins® High-Output Turbo Diesel I6 engine. This option ups the specs to 400 horsepower, 1,000 lb-ft of torque, and a towing capacity of up to 35,100 pounds.
